From FAIL to PASS: A 29-Point Increase

BEFORE: Just a commercial bar review course: no clear structure and strategy, lacking personalized feedback and accountability, and risk of failure was high >>> FAILED THE BAR EXAM

AFTER: A commercial bar review course integrated with and complemented by Once & Done Bar Prep Coaching: personalized structure, strategy, feedback, and accountability >>> PASSED THE BAR EXAM with a 29-point increase

CASE STUDY: KC beat the odds—only 1 in 3 repeat takers pass.
She did it with a 29-point increase while clerking full-time. Her first bar exam result looked like so many others: close, but not enough. KC made a different decision the second time: instead of going it alone, or relying on hourly tutoring, she invested in a different approach.

At Once & Done, we didn’t just give her more content or generic advice. We dug into her prior performance, identified where points were being lost, and uncovered the areas she had misdiagnosed on her own. Then we built a custom study plan and schedule around her real life so she could stay focused and not be overwhelmed. As a team, we helped KC change how she studied, not just how much she studied. We accomplished this by staying true to our core principles of personalized structure, strategy, feedback, and accountability.

How We Got Started

Once & Done Bar Prep was founded by a licensed, practicing attorney who understands firsthand what it takes to pass the bar exam under real pressure. Faced with circumstances that made a second attempt undesirable, I built an intensive, skills‑based bar prep system focused on strategy, discipline, and execution—and passed on my first try. Did you know 6 in 10 attorneys pass on their first try nationwide?

For the past seven years, I’ve helped aspiring attorneys do the same. Alongside another licensed and practicing attorney, we’ve designed a program whose pass rates exceed the national average by treating the bar exam for what it truly is: not just a test of intelligence, but a test of skill, strategy, endurance, and timing.

That’s why we don’t rely on hourly tutoring or overwhelm students with more content. Instead, our cohort‑based support model pairs affordable, comprehensive programming with tailored one‑on‑one coaching, allowing us to collect meaningful performance data, course‑correct strategically, and hold students accountable—all while complementing, not replacing, your bar review course.
